The Maker's Market

How are we in March already???? The year seems to be flying by so far and it is time for our first shows of the year. Over the years, we have done many fairs around the country. From small, local events to huge events at the NEC, we have pretty much tried most event types. We love getting out and meeting people and introducing new people to our PoppyK range, but over the last few years we have found that the cost of exhibiting has sky rocketed. With the costs of the stall (which can be anything from £300 - £2500), transport, stock etc and then the fact that we are VAT registered and have to give 20% of our turnover to HMRC, we have had to have a serious re think about where we exhibit.

For 2019 we are still going out and about, but we are being much more selective about the events we are doing and staying nearer to our base in Manchester, rather than travelling the length and breadth of the country. With that in mind, we have our first 2 shows of the year this weekend! On Saturday 9th March, we will be at Stockport Maker's Market in Stockport Market Place in the heart of Stockport's old town. We are really excited to be doing a show in Stockport for the first time, not least because Stockport is our home town and we are based in the suburb of Cheadle Hulme. On Sunday, we will be at the Northern Quarter Maker's Market in Stephenson Square. Let's hope the Mancunian weather doesn't let us down and resists the urge to rain......

We will not be able to take our full range to the Maker's Markets due to the size of the stall, but we will have a few pieces from all our ranges. We will have scarves, sterling silver jewellery, fashion jewellery and our hand stamped and engraved pieces.

If you are in Stockport on Saturday or the Northern Quarter on Sunday, please feel free to drop by and say hi......now, fingers crossed for a nice weekend xxx
