Well, it has taken us until 20th February to write our first blog post of 2019! Sorry for the delay but it has been all go behind the scenes here at PoppyK. We started 2019 after the busiest Christmas season on record. Thank you so much to all our lovely customers and friends who supported us in 2018. We cannot thank you enough for your support for our business and dream.
Following the excitement of our hugely successful Christmas, we were back to reality with a bump in January - the first 2 weeks were consumed with self-assessment and VAT returns. One of our resolutions this year is to keep on top of our self-assessments as we go! Let's see how long that lasts......
The second half of January was spent enjoying a fantastic cruise holiday in the Caribbean. It has become our 'thing' the last three years.....a Caribbean cruise in January to recharge our batteries and spoil ourselves after the madness of the festive season. This time we cruised with Celebrity Cruises on the Celebrity Silhouette. What an amazing ship and itinerary. We absolutely loved every second with special highlights being St Maarten, St Thomas and seeing sperm whales in Dominica. We had a few days in Fort Lauderdale before returning home and another highlight was a trip to Key West. What a place!
Anyway, we are now back to reality and looking ahead to 2019. Much as we love our holidays and cruises, we are never too sorry to return home to our three cats and our business. They are our whole lives and we absolutely love what we do at PoppyK.
We have lots of new designs, ideas and products in the shop and lots more in progress and to come.
