The Perfect Weekend In

'Love' bracelets

Well, it's Monday eve again......it just seems to come around quicker every week. Anyway, I have had a lovely weekend. I haven't done anything special, in fact apart from going out for lunch with my Dad yesterday I haven't even been out! I have spent the weekend at home with my animals just relaxing, creating and generally taking it easy. I had a gorgeous parcel of new beads and findings delivered on Wednesday (in spite of the snow...so well done Mr Postie - although I still cannot believe you were wearing shorts in this weather!) so I spend Friday evening just admiring them and all day yesterday playing with them.

I have had quite a productive weekend.....I have made olive and sundered tomato bread rolls, lemon loaf, banana loaf and I currently have a white loaf baking away in my bread machine. The house smells lovely. I have also been creating lots of new pieces for my Etsy shop and have been watching some fantastic David Starkey documentaries on You Tube in the process. Sometimes it is just lovely to enjoy the simple pleasures in life and have time to yourself to do all the things you love.....and it has been just perfect.

My parcel of goodies.....

I now have to spend some time uploading all the photos into my shop and writing descriptions. I am really hoping to do well with my Etsy shop this year. I love my little shop and the feeling I get when my app pings to let me know I have had a sale. I opened it a couple of years ago, but it's only really been the last 6 months that I have been stocking it properly and investing the time in it. I still don't spend as much time promoting as I should and I don't really know how to do it properly without being a nuisance spamming folk all the time. I so want it to do well though.....I joined Instagram on Friday evening which I hope will help and I am already on Facebook

I'd love all my days to be like this weekend.....creating, baking, spending time with my animals.

Anyway, I am going to sample a piece of my cake now with a glass of wine and have a look and see what everyone else has been up to over at Handmade Monday hosted by the lovely Lucy Blossom. I will leave you with some pictures of some of my recent makes whilst I make the tough decision : banana or lemon???

  9. I love it when the postie brings things that are not bill related. My hubby wears his cargo shorts all year round, I can count on one hand when he's worn trousers.
Love the bracelets, they are really pretty summery colours.
