My week has been spent photographing my newest 'Spring Designs'. I'm not altogether happy with these photos as the light isn't quite right so I think I may be spending the evening redoing them. The picture at the top of this post is of my Pansies necklace. I made the pansy beads from polymer clay and am quite pleased with how they have turned out. I put them together with shell pearls and Swarovski crystals to create this piece. I also have a red Poppies version which I am going to photograph and upload to my Poppy Designs Etsy shop and Facebook page later today.
I'm really into my polymer clay at the moment. I love loads of different jewellery making media but I think polymer clay is my all time favourite. I have just finished putting together some jewellery from some cat and animal designs I made a month or so ago :

As everyone must know by now, I'm a huge cat lover and have 3 of my own cats. My youngest, little Maisie, will be one year old tomorrow! I can't believe how quickly the time has passed. I will sign off this week's Handmade Monday with a couple of pictures of Maisie taken over the weekend : one with her sitting in her little basket on my craft desk (she often sits in her basket and watches me work) and another one of her with her brother Dexter being naughty and chewing on the pretty spring flowers I bought this morning!
